DNS is Domain Name System.

Domain Name is the unique name that identifies an Internet site. The Internet is made up of hundreds of thousands of computers and networks, all with their own domain name or unique address. Domain names always have two or more parts separated by dots. A given server may have more than one domain name, but a given domain name points to only one server.

A domain is simply a subtree of the domain name space. A domain’s domain name is the same as the domain name of the root node of the subtree. That just means that the name of a domain is the name of the node at the very top of the domain.

Top Level Domain Name is the country code name, eg. the two-letter country code for Cambodia is "KH", that normally appears last in any Internet name. Domain names typically consist of

some form of the organization’s name and a suffix that describes the type of organization. For example, MPTC has registered the domain name "MPTC.GOV.KH".
